We had a SAREX scheduled for Sat 09 November 2019. The weather was awful so we scrubbed our Plan "A" exercise and carried on with plan "B". We placed an ELT on the airport grounds and had our team members go find it. First off we completed a lesson on ground homing, explaining how the antenaes are placed on the vehicle. Then we explained how the homer works and how to set it up. After the lesson was over we had all our team members, individually take a homer and try to find the ELT. I'm very pleased to say, that all the team members found the ELT and they found it within 10 minutes. To all the team members who came out, thank you and you are all certified as ground homing specialists. Good job to all.
